About:
Over the course of a weekend this past September, Lake Fever Sessions opened our
doors (and hearts... awww) to the Americana Music Association during their
annual conference/festival here in Nashville. We welcomed five showcasing
artists - Holly Golightly & the Brokeoffs, Elliott Brood, Hot Club of Cowtown,
Elizabeth Cook & Joe Pug - to record a truncated one-song Lake Fever Session.
Our aim was to celebrate and endorse all the great work the AMA does for such a
timeless genre of music. Looks like we nailed it.
Thus we're proud to present one-off numbers from whom we felt were some of the cooler artists performing at the AMAs. It was a busy weekend for all of us - especially since we were invited to guest speak on one of the conference panels - so we hope you enjoy them. We certainly enjoyed making them.
Many thanks the artists for making time to creep down to Music Row for this. And to our new friends from No Depression, Music Fog, Thirty Tigers, CMT & Gold Mountain, it was a pleasure getting acquainted with y'all... keep doing what you do and doing it so damn well. Lastly, we'd like to give a huge, huge shout out to Mr. Logan Rogers from Lightning Rod Records for being the point man on this and making this happen! You, sir, are one of the good ones.
Already looking forward to next year...
